So...he's performing at a comedy club in town tonight, and I'm REALLY tempted. It's $22, and I'd want to pay for a meal too, so it'd be closer to $30. Is anyone familiar with his current routine? Would this definitely be worth checking out? I haven't been keeping up with his recent stuff, but "Shakes the Clown" still kicks ass.

just got the spaceghost season 1 dvd and bobcat was great on it.
i didnt know he did "shakes the clown," my parents watched that when i was like, 8 (i went to bed), and the next morning they were arguing whether it was genius or the most horrible thing they've ever seen.
i'm still mildly intrigued by it, havent seen it yet.
sorry proto, no suggestions here. i have no idea. i'll just guess that if you can think of a better use for 30, then use it for that, if you really really want to, then do it, because if you dont, you'll be regretting for being such a financial pussy and how you should have gone.

My only problem with Goldthwait were the "Police Academy" movies. It always seemed demeaning for him especially considering how intellitegent and funny I found him to be in his stand-up comedy. A fella's got to make a living, I suppose. :/

Also, he was a bit crazy back in his pre-therapy days.

I met him last year when I was working at a comedy club. He was pretty funny from what I saw, nothing like the Police Academy/"wacky" 80's stuff.
More jokes like "Hey my daughter is silly" and "Hey I am going bald" But I would probably go see him again.

It has been decided. I am going to see him on Sunday evening, and tonight I am seeing Southern Culture on the Skids.

I'd go, although I've heard his recent stand-up material isn't as good as it used to be and the CD he just released is unfunny as shit. But I'd still go.
