Choosing Ron for that role was definitely a good move. Let's just hope the movie itself doesn't disappoint.

Too be honest, Rongi, I don't know. I have some issues that I got when I bought this one guy's collection in bulk, but I haven't read them yet.
I hear great things though. And Ron Perlman is PERFECT for the role just based on his apperance.

I know I'm leaving myself open for dorky, angry "Have you even read the comic???" and "Do you really use your tongue when you kiss people???" - to which I'll reply No, and Only when I'm in love - but seriously, the first thing I thought was: Holy shit, a Mexican's version of X-Men.
Comic or not, what the fuck, man? It looks lame. I was expecting some little caballero in a tiny red cowboy hat to ride out on a fucking tricycle; his weapon would be low-brow humour and awful acting skills, but would wield the power of exclamatory Que? y Porque?s with big-bulgy eyes.
Buena suerte, hijo de infierno! (That's: Good luck, Hellboy for all you white American bastards.)

No way, this movie is gonna be awesome, and I haven't even read the comic yet.

Haha! I was going to throw out The Hulk but I thought it was too mean. Thanks, Chojin.

It looks alright, I saw it a week or so ago. The movie looks entertaining, to say the least. And even though I never read the comic, I think it might get me to. Just because if it sucks, I'd read it to see what I'm missing, and if it's good, to see what's better about it. But the preview at the end looked completly cheesy. :(

Finally, a movie to compete with the likes of Judge Dredd! :lol

Ok, I saw the preview to this today, and I can guarantee that it will be a nice tidy package of excrements. I mean NAZIs?? Haha come on. This is like LX2, only, probably even worse.

Have you ever read a comic book?
I've got lots of em'
Unfortunately they're all "venom". I have almost every comic in which he appeared, because as a kid I was so fascinated by him.
And I bought the occasional "Wizard" issue, even though I now hear its crap
O.O
So anyways, in the "Wizard" magazine, I hear that Allan Moore ( that's the guy who wriots LXG right? ....) is an awesome writer and that LXG is a fantastic graphic novel that all should read. So I never read it ( of course) mostly since I didn't have money at the time. Or care about comics enough to buy them anymore.
So ya see, when I came to the great big cinema, and I watch that movie ( because I thought it would be real good) I find myself sitting before a nice big pile of the worst clichés ever. Fortunately, the lineup of caracters was amazing, and they all acted pretty well and all, but the story was just... no... right. Read sucky.
So I see this helloboy movie.. which looks like the same thing: Nazi vilain, team of OUtcast batling foes no one knows about and no one can deal with but them etc etc etc.
So ya see, I don't really feel like sitting through one of those again.
I would DEFINATELY watch it if it was on Tv though. I might even check the tv guide to see if its on one of these days. Who knows, I might even rent it O.O

The Hellboy movie doesn't really feel like the Hellboy comics I think, but it still looks promising :)
I don't have any Hellboy comics, but I read some on-line, which is cool.
