The best memory for me is, when my neighbour got a super-nintendo and a great game called "zombies ate my neighbours". We stayed up all night playing the zombie game like retards. Fuck, I have to get a rom of that game.

I got a Game Boy for the first time, and sat around for like, FIVE HOURS, playing that fuckin' awful Pokemon game. Then I got bored and tried some of the 'cheats'. Okay, okay- it made the Pokemon Centres invisible when you walked in a certain pattern. Big friggin deal.

I remember when the Pokemon games started here and this kid used Gameshark for battles. Fuckin cheater. :(

Then one day I use the Missingno glitch and get myself several lvl 100 Mewtwos and he's like 'I don't want to play you! You cheat!' :/

Using the Missingno cheat to get a Missingno... and catching it. Man, things look really trippy after that. It's really funny when you look at the pets... when you look at Missingno in the Pokemon Stats thing it's an old guy! I found that really funny.

Capturing the Energizer Bunny for the first time in Space Quest IV was a great thrill for me. That damned zombie that screams at you (which was pretty damned scary btw) always killed me before I got the bunny.

Also, I had the original playable Secret of Monkey Island Demo (before the game had even come out) and I remember being so excited about the game after I beat the demo (which revealed the big ogre guy to be one of the game producers in a costume who happened to like eating raw red herring).

Lasting about 6 hours in a game of Pitfall on my Intellivision system when I was sick was pretty damned cool... I remember the entire family and friends gathering around in wonder. I also had some wicked scores in Astrosmash. And finally, beating some of the old Kings Quest and Police Quest games felt like major accomplishments at the time.

I have a million more classic gaming memories but that's enough for now...

Playing EVO: The Search For Eden with a friend for 6 hours straight, not knowing that we could save, always worried our SNES would get too hot. Heh.

Sitting in a wet bathing suit and a towel, eating parmasian Goldfish, playing Earthbound.

Spending all summer playing Batman, MagMax, Mario 3, and Mike Tyson's Punch-Out with my friends.

Staying up all night playing Worms with friends.

Playing an assload of Sega Master System game with friends: Penguin Land, Space Harrier, Astro Warrior, Kung Fu Kid, Ghost House, Captain Silver, and more I can't remember.

BTW, I'm 19 and all this happened a long ass time ago. Especially the NES and SMS business.

Word! Ocelot took me fucking forever. Retry after retry until I finally took him down with 3 quick shots of hot lead justice.

Mantis took me a few tries but it was nowhere near as hard as Ocelot.

Playing Guardian Legend, Cobra Triangle, Wizards and Warriors, and Tiger Heli all night with a bunch of friends once a week during the summer.

Of course we had games like Zelda and Dragon Warrior, but those were boring. Nothing was better than trying to outdo eachother at marble madness- that competition really got fierce after we all learned how to beat the game... so many highschores lost because the memory card hadn't been invented.

cobra triangle...hmm...that rings some bells. Isnt cobra triangle the boat racing game which is impossible to beat? If I remember correctly I only made it to the third level or something. Good game though.

I used to pretty much live over at my friends house during the summer. We would play SMB3 and eat sunflower seeds. But since then he sold his systems...but thank god for Emu's. Now every summer we once again play SMB3 and eat sunflower seeds.

At the height of my TMNT fandom and playing the original NES game. If I hadn't played it back then, I'd probably think the game was complete shit now, but the nostalgia I get from playing the ROM makes it my favorite NES game ever.

ah yes, the old Sega Master System. I had one of those, two of my favorite games were "Wonder Boy In Monster Land," and "Wonder boy 3: the Dragons Trap." Gangster town was a fun game too.

I beat Wonder Boy in Monster land the other day... THe ending pissed me off...

The first video game i ever remember playing is Pole Position for the Atari 7800, when i was two or three. That game still rules.

I remember my cousin had an NES, (didn't everyone's?) and when i was there we'd rock the shit out of River City Ransom, still my absolute favorite NES game ever. When we got ours, we had SMB, Duck Hunt, Metroid, Castlevania, 8 Eyes, The Flintstones, and some other stuff i don't recall.

When my brother bought an SNES all we had was Home Alone. I played the hell out of it. Then we got Pink Panther, Harley's Humongous Adventure, Aladdin, and some other stuff that my brother bought cheap. We mostly rented games, with FF2 and Lufia 2 being exceptionally memorable, they were the first RPGs i had ever played.

The first game i ever beat was Aladdin. My brother didn't let me in his room often enough to play any games to the point of beating them. And, seriously, some of those games were fucking HARD, even if you totally ruled at games when you were but a wee tot.

All i ever really liked on the gameboy was Mario Land. Final Fantasy sucked.

I remember being in Toys R Us when i first heard about the n64. It was mind blowing, to be able to press the buttons on the panel and see all these awesome 3D games. Later i realized that a large sum of them sucked, but i still had fun with a few, like Mario 64, Body Harvest, WCW vs NWO, Bomberman Hero, Mystical Ninja, Chameleon Twist, Rampage, Zelda 64, Shadows of the Empire, and Yoshi's Story. In fact, i'm planning on repurchasing that system and a lot of the games i used to play. I had access to the n64 because my dad bought us the system for christmas, so i have a lot more memories regarding it. This was from fourth to sixth grade, so my brother was pretty busy out skateboarding or whatever, he was in high school by then. Yeah, i'm young. Sue me. :(

I remember that i was blown away by Street Fighter II when it came out. My family still went to church at the time, so my mother thought it was wildly inappropriate for me to play such a game. Don't even ask about Mortal Kombat.

I have lots of video game memories. But i think my favorite has to be Aeris' death when i played FF7. I mean, come on, that was like the saddest moment in videogame history for me. It was astonishing. I'm listening to her theme right now, and it still makes me kind of sad to think about it. I think it's the only time a videogame has ever actually moved me. But don't tell anyone, i won't be KVLT anymore.

I remember the first time I saw Aeris die and that I was completely shocked by it. The other really memorable moment I have from FF7 was the one winged angel Sephiroth fight.

Mortal Kombat was a big one for me, the blood code was so cool and controversial back then.

I was hooked on the Casino level of one of the Sonic games, the second I think, because you could play the slots.

I also remember being terribly frustrated because I couldn't beat the second floor of Kung Fu.

I remember getting an SNES for my birthday and thinking about how advanced it was. While I started off with only Super Mario World, by the time they stopped supporting the Super I had at least 100 games.

I have way too many gaming memories, it's hard to sort them all out.

Also me and my brother playing Guerrilla War over and over again. Godammit I loved that game!
