Clubbers Trampled to Death

So, did anyone here about all the people killed in the night club in Chicago because they got trampled on?

I think it was 21 dead, 57 injured? Someone sprayed pepper spray or mace or something and everyone was trying to get out of the club, down the stairs.

21 dead. A fight broke out, and the bouncers tried to use pepper spray to break it up. They were on the 2nd floor (which they weren't supposed to be, due to building code restrictions). There were an estimated 1500 people in the club, and only one way into and out of the club.

The place must not have been well-ventilated, because people started choking and gagging and running for the ONE exit.

Mayor Daley is going to have the balls of those club owners.

Yeah, they weren't even supposed to be on that upper level because of escape routes and such. They (if they're smart) can probably file a lawsuit against the club and the city of Chicago for not doing more seaches and not being strict enough. If they were smart, they would get more money off Chi town. Ahh, life in the city.

they actually werent supposed to be open at all due to firecoding, but they decided to let em in anways. good call on the stupid club owners part. the law's really got his balls in a vice.

They could be open, trust me, I live in that town. They just weren't supposed to be on the top floor. But you're right about the vice grip.
