I have come to the conclusion that this is the best genre of music ever. Oh, you say Black Metal or Thrash. I say give me Iron Maiden, Helloween, Dio, Manowar, or Rhapsody. I could live off power metal for the rest of my life. I'm a gay homosexual, you say? I wasn't paying attention, I was too busy listening to the BEST MUSIC EVER.

Oldschool US Power is the shit. Stuff you've never heard of. Like Gargoyle, Tokyo Blade, Jag Panzer, Axehammer, Omen, Iron Cross. There's more to power than the mainstream bands you mentioned. Heir Apparent for example, completely destroy Maiden or Rhapsody. To think you will never be blessed with listening the divine voice of Steve Benito, or Midnight.

Iced Earth suck goat (not that particular) anus. They're a highly derivative band (let's copy metallica and maiden for a few albums! now let's do it again!) Seriously, don't make me bust out the tablatures to show how for example, almost every ballad they've written is essentially a rewritten until-it-sleep.

Schaeffer is a moron of the worst kind. And by the looks of it he's about to put out a USA IS TEH RUEL FUCK YUO OSSAMADAM!! album named *groan* 'The Glorious Burden'.

If you can tolerate listening to a whole Iced Earth album, you're a moron, or an idiot, or both, I guess.


Stratovarious were good for like, 2 albums and then they kept rewriting those two. Ugh. Much rather listen to Exxplorer or something.

It's strange how you americans don't know your underground power at all. Even some worthwhile mainstream power bands (Helloween, Rage, Heaven's Gate, Angra) weren't mentioned in favour of what, Rhaphsody?

And I know Iced Earth are derivative of Metallica and Maiden, especially their Horror Show album. I like Metallica and Maiden - therefore, I like Iced Earth's music. Never said they were original.

And Iced Earth are also stupid besides derivative. But perndog doesn't seem to mind. He's used to stupid. After all, it lives there.

It appears there are at least four bands with the name Iron Cross O .o One is a punk rock/skinhead band, one is a US power metal band, one is a heavy metal band from Ohio, and one is from Finland. I have stuff from the punk band, nevermind my last comment. :O
