My wife gave birth to a 7lb 6oz baby girl on Thanksgiving day. We named her Halle Rose. The experience was nothing less than magnificent! Just wanted to share the good news... More later.

Are newborn kids supposed to have vaginas instead of eyes?

In all seriousness, mucho congrats McClain. Just keep that little bastard away from your toys... unless you want Gerber food puked up all over them.

Wow, rog has a way of being horribly offencive and making complimentory at the same time... magical.
I hope your child never grows up to read these boards... or that its all they ever read...

oh well, congradulations

Her eyes probably look that way because of the drops they have to put into a baby's eyes when it's born.
It goes away after a while.

what are those drops for.... I forgot...

It's to kill off bacteria that can cause eye infections. Eye infections in newborns most often lead to blindness.

what are those drops for.... I forgot...
It is required by law in case the mother has gonorrhea, which can cause blindness in a newborn.

Well its a good things we covered that, I was afraid someone was gonna talk about their newborn and we weren't gonna fit in talking about gonorrhea...

Welcome to sleepless nights and diapers with a stench you wouldnt think was possible to come from a 3 week rotting corpse, let alone a tiny baby.

Congrats and much joy and happiness :)

I had just set out the turkey. It was finally done and the sweet potato casserole had about three minutes left in the oven. Ashley had been complaining of cramps all morning which is a typical pre-labor sign. I figured she might have the baby soon... Just please not during Thanksgiving Dinner. It's my favorite meal of the year. Turkey. Mashed Potatoes. Sweet Potatoes. Green Bean Casserole. Creamed Corn Casserole. Rolls. Gravy. Stuffing.
Just as I reached for an oven mitt to take out the final dish, my wife yells, "MY WATER BROKE!" and begins to panic. We call the doc and she tells us to come in now. I cover all the dishes with foil and place them in the fridge. I grab the car keys. My final act was to turn off the oven... quite symbolic.

It's been four days and I still haven't had that dinner.

Sorry about having to eat cold turkey, but it's a small price to pay. Congratulations. I was starting to think only stupid people bred, but you've proven me wrong. Perhaps there is a future for our wretched species.
