I have had an account with this bank since I was 13. So last year I opened a student account and recieved my student loan. Then as almost every other student I know has done I went on a bit of a spending spree. Well I bought myself a new computer and alot of books. Anyway to cut a long story short I am fed up with this bank.
Why?
1. The still consider me a first year despite the fact that I completed one year and then moved universities.
2. Sometimes they let me go alot of my overdraft limit and sometimes they don't. It all depends on how they feel. This has resulted in alot of cheques and direct debits that have bounced which have now cost me alot of money.
3. They gave me a full credit card despite the fact that I only earned £50 a month and was a full time student. They seem to ignore that fact.
4. They won't increase my overdraft anymore mainly because of #1 and because they are inflexible bastards.
I have opened another student account but I am still waiting for my details. I have a job, I lost my job at M & S due to them not having enough money to keep me on but I have one at the library. Sadly I can only work four hours a week. I have applied for other jobs but am waiting for the letters.
So what do you lot think I should do? I don't know how the student system works in America but I'm sure you have a decent time table that is alot better for getting a good job. I worked all over the summer and Christmas and Barclays have just taken and taken.
