Mystic Defender - Genesis

I was playing this game the other day for the first time in ages. It's one of my favorite Genesis games ever... any of you ever played it?

Are you serious? That game sucked ass man. It was like a wanna' be Strider but you couldn't jump and the controls were all jittery. The graphics sucked, too! Is that a character from Alien? Who are those bald men? Why are those things glowing? WTF IS GOING ON?

The best Gens game of all time is Toe Jam & Earl.

I've never even heard of Mystic Defender, which is odd because I was huge into Genesis. TJ&E might be the best 2 player shits & giggles game, but best serious game by far for Genesis is Revenge of Shinobi. Best last boss battle EVER in gaming history PERIOD and the music in it was top notch.

I loved it McClain, the game was just extremely entertaining to me. Strider was obviously far superior, but Mystic Defender was still a fun game.

And yes, Revenge of Shinobi was just TOO good of a game. I need to download the music for it sometime...

I used to run a BBS (back before the web became a hoppin' place) and all I did was create ANSI/ASCII art and host crazy text based adventure games.
