I want to know other people's life philosophies. In other words, how ould you folks sum up how you like to live your life? Mine is simple: Question what you have been taught and come to your own conclusions.

I find my personal beliefs have a lot in common with the Asian Taoist (http://en2.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taoism) philosophy.

Why are you a liberal, then? Lao Zi thought that governments are unnatural and hated taxation.
My personal life philosophy includes elements of Taoism, Lockean philosophy, Objectivism, and some thoughts of my own.

Mine is to always try to improve myself. To always be aware of my actions and thoughts. Find ways to change what I do not like about myself and enhance the things that I do. Take responsibility for my actions and never lay blame for my choices on anyone else.

I suppose I follow Hillel's line of reasoning a bit. My personal creed is fairly simple:
If life is only a matter of calories, hydration and defecation, then it exists only to perpetuate its own existance and is therefore redundant and unnecessary. In order for a life to have meaning, it must be dedicated to the preservation of something larger and more lasting than itself.
Call it my personal slave mentality coming into play ;)

Absurdism in the tradition of Albert Camus.
Life is devoid of a higher meaning, there are no "absolutes," and total objectivity is impossible. Similarly, the universe is chaotic and indifferent. Mankind, however, will never be satisfied with this predicament, and will forever demand clarity, unity, and meaning from a world that can't grant them.
I live my life in conscious acceptance of the irrational aspects and contradictions that embody the human condition. I don't deny or try to supress my longing for the "missing piece" that will make me feel complete, but at the same time, I realize that it doesn't exist. I also refuse to take a "leap of faith" into an unproven belief system simply to make me feel better about or "transcend" my limited existence.

My personal life philosophy is "soul division", psychological serperation of the mind from the mind, and the mind from the ego. A "personal philosophy"(which is what i have discovered myself, and plan on continuing), a scholar(he which believes nothing, and practices and studies everything), a drug addict, a fag and other random things, all seperated with seperate ideas, often times interacting and describing eachother/insulting eachother. seperate universes, really. And then a "God personality", which is a combination of all of them. I did it to myself, I'm not insane.
I basically developed it to avoid thoughtlessness and self destruction of thought. "I don't know what's true, so i get stuck and consider it for years", I avoid that by dividing myself into a part that believes, a part that disbelieves and a part that is neither. It's fun!

'Sometimes one can see in a picture the spirit of Zen, Ichigo Ichie. Ichigo means a whole life and Ichie one chance. You meet someone whom you may never see again. It may be the only chance to meet him in your life. That is exactly why you should receive him sincerely and do all you can do for him at that moment. A great photograph expresses Ichigo Ichie.'
