Daft Punk Interstella 5555 anime

I wasn't sure if this should go under Movies or Music but whatever. This anime is fucking great. Made by the same guy that did Galaxy Express 999 (which I actually thought sucked). Check it out if you can - the style is so cool. They also wrote themselves in for a cameo:

No, it's a full feature. If you've ever seen the video for "One More Time" (my least favourite track on the album) with the anime featuring the 'blue' rock and roll band from space, that was made with clips from this while it was in production. It probably sounds kinda cheesy and I didn't think the individual music videos were anything special, but all together as a story and full length anime it's awesome. There's no dialog - I guess you could call it a video for the entire album.

my friend has it, i havent seen it... we both have the album, which we werent too hot about because were "homework" eliteists, but i re-listened to it recently, and 8/10 it always results in an opinion change for the better.

i like the album a lot now. still need to see the movie. :)

Totally! I loved Homework and to be honest I never really like this one until I watched this. Now the songs are sticking with me. I guess it's more of an acquired taste, but well worth giving the chance. :love

it's always been about the first half of that album, the rest i'll listen to if i'm concentrating on something else.. though i like too long too.

someone gave me their copy of alive 1997 because they thought it was vdeogame music. fuck you, holmes, it's great :love

i hear there's a new CD coming of the best mixes put through the daft club...
