Apparently, McNuggets are made from 100% white meat now... except the "old" McNuggets were also white. :chatter

They're using less bleach now. It's a net savings, and part of their new health concious initiative.

...Avoiding lawsuits, and lost of profit as reported a few quarters ago.
I tasted McNuggets only once, it had a texture unlike any other chicken that I tasted before like KFC, Swiss Chalet or my favourite St-Hubert. I just don't know why, but I kept thinking of Charlton Heston's 70s film Soylent Green (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070723/) for some strange reason.

I always thought the breading around them tasted more like human skin than the chicken itself.

The old "meat" was kind of.. gray.

I think Mcnuggets debuted in 1980. I still remember Letterman saying "If there's part of a chicken that can honestly be called the 'nugget', do you want it in your mouth?"

1983, Max (Thank you, I Love the 80s Strikes Back)
I have to say, I think those new strips they have are better by leaps and bounds. Although, that still isn't saying much.

Thank you sir.
An OAO moment: I know what you mean about them changing the Mcnuggets. It's exactly the same smokescreen as W's new forest policy.

Chicken Mcnuggets are the only thing I like from McDonalds, I like the skin.

What really grosses me out is that you know that the chicken meat is all blended in a giant machine that pushes out a steady turd of a glue substance and chicken that has the DNA of 3 million chickens and all the bacteria that comes with then to be made into a bit size morsel of Mcdonalds goodness. I remember eating a nugget once and I bit down and there was a hard piece of fat inside and the whole afternoon I kept gagging wanting to puke.

That happens at least twice in each batch of McNuggets at our local McDonald's. I don't know if we're just so out-of-the-way that they purposely send us the bad ones or what.
Slightly off topic, but I remember one of my teachers telling me that they shut down school and had a parade the day McDonald's opened here in town. :(

Factory-rejected nuggets. :(
I don't think the term "skin" has any application when talking of McNuggets ... "breading" maybe but not "skin". I think that if there were any skin involved at all that McDonalds would charge extra for it.
