They got the stars from Fear and Loathing which is good, but Josh 'Haircut' Hartnett just gives me a bad feeling. The boy can't act. He sucks. He hasn't made a good movie and this appearance in this better just be five minutes or being tortured by Hunter or something.
Otherwise, I'll give it a chance. What the fuck, take the ride. :)

Hairnet isn't hotter than anybody. Take off the hair and he looks like Unfrozen Caveman Retard.

That photo is touched up. Check out the trailers of any of his films and you'll see that his eyebrows and nose are really Neatherthal.

It's still in the middle of being produced or such...another script? I sense they should just break down and get Terry Gilliam to do it again. Or Alex Cox?

Nay. I don't think he is THAT good of a director. Depp will make the movie.
And besides, if you've ever watched an actual interview with HST, you would find that Depp's potrayal of him is 100 percent dead on. He even LOOKS like him for chissake, and I don't just mean the half dome.
Superficial Acting aside, I think that this will be a more interesting movie than Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
That movie was about the death of the American Dream and a glimpse of a life without responsibility or consequence through one of the last cities in America that could provide it. Gilliam parlayed the drug scenes a little to much (and a little too Monty Pythonish) and if you watch the movie once you miss the point enitirely and think the movie is just about doing drugs.
Or maybe it is, fuck it I am dumb.

I know that Depp can do a good job but Gilliam is detached enough from the action so he can be objective about it. Nothing against Depp, just being on the safe side.
