I'm getting one of these because I'm stupid and I suck and I haven't gotten one yet.
I've been thinking of buying the following games for it:
Golden Sun
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Fire Emblem
I already own Mario Advance 4: SMB3 because I love that game so much that I bought it when it came out and used a friend's GBA to play it :(
OK, now your job (IF YOU SHOULD CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT :picklehat) is to tell me if these games are any good or worth buying OR request any other good games for GBA that I should consider because the game is orgasmic and you can't live without it. Please :(

I bought both Mario And Luigi AND FFT:A :picklehat
Mario And Luigi gets a little boring near the middle of it, and it won't really pick up until later...still, a very good buy. The only game in recent memory to make me LOL.
Final Fantasy is good, too, but it has law cards.

I have Mario and Luigi and FF Tatics. :( Get Namco Museum too. It's only 15 dollars and it has Ms. Pacman on it. :(

The 3 Castlevanias should be at the top of the list.

Do not get Metroid Fusion. That one is awful.
That's a good list there, they aren't bad games.

Circle of the moon is okay. It wasn't even supposed to be a Castlevania game. It was supposed to be called Dracula: Circle of the Moon. They just put Castlevania on it. >:

I played Fusion and it was good you ass

All of the Castlevania games before Harmony of Dissonance were called Dracula , or Akumajou Dracula originally Cap'n. Besides, even if it was called "Sauna of the Undead Sucker Killer Machine" anyone slightly familiar with the series could tell it was Castlevania.
PS: Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow are both much better. Unless you want extra play modes. :(
I am a Castlevania nerd. :(

Fusion is a very good game. If you played Super Metroid, then your bound to like this.
Sword of Mana also seems pretty good, if you played Secret of Mana.
I would suggest Battle Network but something tells me you wouldn't buy that game if I payed you.

I have a laptop and a GBA emulator...so i kinda have an SP
but game i would suggest are Advance Wars, Dodge ball and Wario Ware. Wario Ware is like for kids with ADD...but fun.
Schimid
Dec 23rd, 2003, 01:26 AM
Wario Ware isn't that good. It's fun, but it lasts an hour or two and I don't think that the games are really worth playing again anyway. :/

i think i prefer circle of the moon out of the castlevania gba games, but that's prolly just cuz it's the one i'm farthest into.
and the complaint about metroid: fusion needs some backing up. what exactly sucks about it? too short? too easy? too hard? i'm about halfway thru it, and like it a lot.
Esuohlim
Dec 23rd, 2003, 09:27 AM
Oh yeah, Metroid Fusion. That's going on my list too. :(
And I was thinking of getting Wario Land 4 because my list is compiled mostly of RPGs and I need some variety. I already have the first three, but I don't know if I should get it or not since I saw more bad reviews than good on it... :(

Metroid Fusion is my favorite GBA game ever. It's damn good, and it just improves on everything that was wrong with Super Metriod. Which wasnt that much :(. GET IT, MILHOUSE. BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T YOU CANT PLAY THE ORIGNAL ON THE GAMECUBE WITH PRIME :(

Don't I need a link or something to even do that?

Good
MegaMan Battle Network (considering what it is)
Advance Wars
Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland (for a revamped port)
Sonic Advance
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire (It's actually more RPGish than the first two, and don't start bitching simply because it's Pokemon)
Bad
Earthworm Jim (Too damn dark, and they cut stuff out of it)
I know my opinion is worth shit to you, but I gave it anyway.

Megaman Battle Network was pretty bad. I didn't like it. I think I bought it and brought it back saying it had something wrong with it. Get Space Invaders because it rocks. :(

Wario Land 4 isn't that good. :( It's far too short and far too easy.
Also, stay away from the Phantasy Star collection. Sweet Jesus, I hope the originals weren't as terrible as the gameboy ones were.

Why didn't you like it? Which one were you playing (Becuase, while I think the second and third ones are pretty good, the first one sucked balls)? Didn't like the chip system? Didn't like the characters? Thought it was stupid? ....What?

don't buy any gameboy advance games.. its a waste of money...
instead, buy this:
http://www.gameboy-advance.net/img/ezfa/ezf256fullset.jpg (http://www.gameboy-advance.net/flash_linker/ezf_advamce_ezfa_realtime_cart.htm)
lets you play gba roms on your old advance or sp.
with 128, 256, and 512mb capacities, you can keep tons of games on it.

Some people aren't cheap basterds and would rather buy the games from the company then hurt them by playing them without paying. Asshole.

It's little fucks like you that are slowly destroying the Video Game industry. If you like the company, if you like the game, then help them by buying it, instead of hurting them by stealing it. Who the fuck can't spend $30 on a game anyway? Stop being a cheap ass and spend the money.

what are you talking about?? the video game industry has never been stronger! i hardly play new games enough to justify buying them, and when i do i buy them used. buying a cartridge used has the same effect on the industry as getting the rom. the vg companies don't see any money that i spend on a $15 Golden Sun cartridge from Game Crazy so, why not just download the rom? Emulation isn't widespread enough to do damage to the video game industry.

ouch that hurts...:rolleyes i don't care what you do with your money. please continue being a prick about it. its funny to see people get bent out of shape about the smallest things.

I wouldn't be suprised to see a nes or snes emulator made for one of them in the near future. That's even more appealing than using it for gba roms actually :)

I don't think this is the direction Milhouse wants this thread to go. So shut up and name some good GBA games for him. Bastards >:.
TOP 5 IN MY OPINION.
1. METROID FUSION
2. ZELDA
3. FFTA
4. CASTLEVANIA (THE FIRST ONE IS BEST I THINK)
5. DOUBLE DRAGON.
Now shut up, Retro WOman. I AM good!

Hate the Pokemon fad, not the Pokemon game. The game kick ass.
The Megaman Battle Network games are an aquired tastes. Personally, I like it. The only fuck-up they've done is pull a pokemon on us by giving us the game in 2 versions, and the forth is doing the same. Still, it's great to play.
BTW, sorry about missing what you posted Esuohlim. :(

Off course the gaming industry is just handing away games they make to game stores so they can make an infinte profit on it :rolleyes
and if emulation isn't so widespread that it's bad, why are you spreading it >:

I was talking about buying a used (some chump traded it in for $5 store credit) game from the game store, NOT a new one.
*conforms*
best game to play on GBA: Tetris. If there's any other incarnations of it, get it. There's nothing like a game that's nearly impossible to beat to keep you busy for eternity.
the GBA version of the new Prince of Persia is really fun too.
there, ya happy Hickman?
Esuohlim
Dec 25th, 2003, 07:26 AM
I'm tired of Tetris. :(
And I was going to get Zelda on the Gamecube bonus disc, but since I don't feel like buying another Gamecube to get it, I guess I'll get it for GBA.
Shit, that's like 210 dollars worth of games I'm planning on buying :(. I'D BETTER JUST GET THEM FOR FREE FOR THE ROM PLAYER :rolleyes

They have gotten better as they progressed. The first one was the best only if you like replay value. :rolleyes

pocketnes, the ability to load like 50 fricken classic games onto one cart, the ability to try out new games before you buy them, etc. make buying a flash rom for your GBA awesome.
if Nerd and Milhouse have never pirated anything they can keep making out on their soapbox together, but otherwise lose the holier-than-thou attitudes. >:

try closer to a few hundred classic games... also, you can store game boy, gameboy color, and game boy advance games on it, so all you really need is one cartridge to hold a bunch of games. if you're a stickler for buying games, you can at least use it to minimize what you have to carry around with you, increasing the portability factor of the gba.
hell, with the software that comes with the stuff you can rip your own roms to do it with.
too bad i spent my money on computer stuff so i have to wait to buy one :(
