i'm starting again with just some bracelets, but i'm just waiting around for someone to comission me to do a larger piece... the gauntlet only went for 80... :(

it was worth well over that.

I have always wanted to do stuff like that. What kind of metal did you use and about how much does it go for?

wire snippers - the best is the large blue handled ones sold at home depot

two flat grip needle nose pliers

one grooved needle nose plier

bar to wrap wire around

500 ft of wire is 4.94 at home depot

those are all the tools you need at first, but if you can't find a good tutorial online, i can help you.

I didn't know it was possible to make ringmail for so cheap! Does it take very long? It looks like it takes quite a stretch of time, but i have lots of it free, so i might pick up some wire and give it a shot. :o

EDIT:after re-thinking, there aren't many pages on how to do this, so i'm thinking about making a website with this on it instead. i'd appreciate donations :) it'll be a comprehensive site with how to pictures of all the need-to-knows, and a lot of the good-to-knows.

it does take a long time.

and it hurts your hands...

i have a lot of blisters. :(

EDIT: the type of wire i use currently is galvanized steel

and those wire cutters i talk about are almost 20 dollars

Thanks a lot. If I can, I'll donate to your website. See, I'm not that bad a guy, now am I?

I appreciate that. :)

At the moment, I am a little strapped for cash (tuition is due soon and I haven't even gone through driver's ed. yet :( ), but whenever I can, I'll send some in. Might have to be snailmail, though.

Might want to give him your parents' address; I don't want that hooligan to know where I live. :posh

Doesn't bother me which address you send me, but it will have to wait. Like I said, I am a little strapped for cash at the moment. I'll donate as soon as possible, though.
