"That Pixies reunion rumor is true; at least one date has been booked on the West Coast, and they're looking at coming here. Whether the band's vast influence over the likes of Nirvana will translate into ticket sales is anyone's guess."

Hmm, I check the Frank Black forum often for news and updates and even they don't know for certain. There hasn't been any official word yet, anyway, and Black himself claimed that what he was being sarcastic when talking about a Pixies reunion.
And a reunion as an opening act for Radiohead? They could do much better than that, in Europe especially.

This is just as bad as when Burma reunited and opened up for Wilco. >:

Wilco rocks. >:
It is weird that the Pixies would open for Radiohead. It's kind of like if the Replacements reunited and opened for Coldplay. :(
ps. I do like Radiohead more than the Pixies though.

Although I do like Radiohead, you're an idiot for saying that.

Agreed. Just that Burma should headline, and Wilco should open. Same with Radiohead and the Pixies.

It's not as strange as the Pixies opening for U2 in 1992.
Either way :)

Except that they're more popular now than they were in 1992, and U2 were much bigger at the time.

What the fuck are you talking about? Radiohead IS better than the Pixies. I'm sure I could find tons of people that agree with that statement. They are both great, but Radiohead has 3 albums that I love dearly and the Pixies have one.

I like them both, but I like every pixies album and all of radiohead's.
Yet, the pixies have the major edge with their cover of the Level One in the videogame NARC. :)

radiohead and the pixies are both going to be at coachella.
it's not like the pixies are going to be opening. radiohead will probably be headlining whichever night they play, but there will be lots of other bands.

How can the pixies be more popular now than in 1992 since they broke up? Nobody died in the band, right?
