"One of the most meaningful things that's happened to me since I've been the governor -- the President -- governor -- President. (Laughter.) Oops. (Laughter.) Ex-governor. I went to Bethesda Naval Hospital to give a fellow a Purple Heart, and at the same moment I watched him -- get a Purple Heart for action in Iraq -- and at that same -- right after I gave him the Purple Heart, he was sworn in as a citizen of the United States -- a Mexican citizen, now a United States citizen."
-George W. Bush

Remarks by the President in a Conversation on the Economy with Women Small Business Owners
U.S. Department of Commerce
Washington, D.C.

This is a PRESS RELEASE! They DO NOT CARE that he is a moron!

it was goshdurn funny, but scary at the same time.

Everybody thinks that Bush is a moron. Did you ever consider that he is using such tactics to try and increase public appeal?

That he is? No. That his keepers accept his bone stupidity and attempt to use it to their own advantage, sure I've concidered that. They play to teh idea that 'Joe Sixpack' has a sort of brute distrust toward anything and anyone it doesn't understand, and they play to this sad appraisal of their constituents.

But W. himself? You think he rehearses sounding like that?

Dubya? Tactics? As far as he knows, a 'tactic' is a breath mint.

if the mexicans want to become US citizens, they'd have to fight in the war along with american soldiers. if they'fe willing to show their dedications to the U.S. troops, show their pride to and for our country, prove that they're willing to sacrifice themselves to move into a land of freedom, they'd show it by fighting the war along with the american solders. whoever makes it out alive, will get to live in the US

...uh, yeah, land freedom, that is..
