I got a Gameboy Advanced SP for Christmas, and I left it on top of the TV overnight, and no one touched it. No one knocked it over or anything, the screen just fucking cracked. They said it was due to the cold, and the screen cracking for no fucking apparent reason isn't covered under Nintendo's warranty. And it costs 60 fucking dollars to get it fixed. They want me to ship it to Washington state too. This happened with my friend's Gameboy too. They fixed all of my other shit, but they won't fix this thing. Eat my shit Nintendo. Fix my fucking Gameboy. >:

I walk through 0 degree temperature or less going to work everyday with my SP in my pocket. No problems. Nintendo has been known for it's product quality. The Super Nintendo was nearly indestructable. Screens don't just crack for no reason. My original GB, GBC, GBA and GBA SP are in near mint condition.

Well, according to Nintendo, the screen cracked because of the cold. I called back up because ink started leaking out, and they said they'll fix it for free now. I always keep it in my box right next to my tv. It took a half an hour to get them to take it back, but it was worth it.

Maybe someone turned on the TV and watched it for a while; the sudden temperature change from the cold air to a warmed-up TV could cause one of those... reactions. Contracting and expanding?

Only took half an hour to get them to fix it for free. I'd say you got a pretty good deal, though you still have to mail it to Redmond.
