:( I posted this originally in the tech forum, so anyone who is willing and able please delete the other thread.

I have a simple little painting that I did a while ago that I want to scan onto a computer and manipulate.

My question is, how difficult would these manipulations be using photoshop or similar software?

Here's the situation,
The painting contains these colors:
-a mix of dark blues
-a light purple
-a light pink

I want to
-change the blues to shades of gray
-change the purple to a dark gray
-turn the pink to a pale yellow

Would this be easy, difficult, possible?

easy peasy.

you can select areas of like color in photoshop and change them all at the same time using variations, or even by changing the whole image to grayscale and then selecting the areas you want to be yellow and doing it that way.

layers and masks can help with hard edges, too.
