This happens all the time, I have answered this question quite alot as a matter of fact. The problem is that you haven't beaten Chrono Trigger on that system yet. The PS2 locks you out untill you have beaten Chrono Trigger on it at least one time. Simply go rent FF Chronicles and save the game data on your memory card after you beat it, then you will be allowed to play your horrible game.

I think I'll have to buy FF Chronicles....Not sure if the local Block Buster even carries Ps1 games for rental anymore. :/

Chrono Trigger is "phat", but the Chronicles version takes upwards of 30 seconds to load before and after combat, upon entering areas from the world map, and when you open the menu. How goddamn stupid is that?!?

these shitty re-releases of SNES RPGs are why we should go back to cartridges. >:

That's why anyone who's cool shelled out $70 for it the week it came out for SNES. :picklehat

I don't understand why:

1) That game could cost so fucking much and yet the stores were ALWAYS sold out

2) The stores were ALWAYS sold out, so logically a lot of people must have owned a copy

C) I've met one person EVER who actually owns a cartridge of it

IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE :(

Because only idiots let go of good games like chrono trigger.

I know 4 people who own it by the way. And they have had it for a very very long time. I knew more... but they sold it, a long time ago.
