Slayer- Show no mercy

I haven't heard all of that album (Peace Sells), but I know Rust In Peace is probably their most popular album amongst metalheads. Peace Sells (from the songs I've heard) has a more raw production sound and (unfortunately) at times Dave Mustaine seems to slurr his words around (back then, him and his band were doing some heavy drugs). I would recommend just to download songs from Peace sells....but who's buying?, and Rust in Peace, before making a choice. If Dave's singing isn't quite your thing, Metallica's Ride the Lightning should provide for your metal needs.

You should be able to find some stuff in some pawnshop that plays underground stuff. They were considered legends of punk, although not mainstream. I'd just look it up on some file-share thing. Damaged is prolly their best known album. This may sound ironic (considering they are pretty noncomercial), but I heard TV Party in some clothes stores, and I thought "now this is real punk".

That bitch Sharon Osbourne or someone had some guys to play newbasslines and drums and replace the old ones because original bassist and songwriter Bob Daisley wanted royalties (im pretty sure that Ozzy didn't write the lyrics. He was getting drunk and high every day back then to the point where he would pass out during vocal takes). If you wanna get Diary of a Madman (awesome album), I suggest you look for an older version in a pawn shop, before they came out with the recent remastered version, even if it doesn't have the added songs.

Satan is real, and if you got to hell, you wont get out". Do to the fact that I have a bit of that imprinted-in-my-mind Christian guilt (I don't really believe in religion anymore, though), this song creeps me out on a certain level. It is pretty awesome, though, if you don't take it too seriously (although I think he meant it as a more serious song)

yeah. it's gibson on drums and bug-sized mind/cipher fox on synths. really great album. gibson is surprisingly great on the drums. kinda feels like lightning bolt doing a synth-pop soundtrack to a mystery/sci-fi flick.
