Yeah, the screenshots make it look like it'll be an .IPS patch for Link to the Past.

EDIT: Dammit, nevermind; the site says this:

"This site is dedicated to my Link to the Past style, 2D remake of Ocarina of Time for the PC... enjoy!"

It will just be a program, you won't need an emulator or nothing.

The engine they are using in the demos is pretty good.

Although a game as big as Ocarina of Time is going to take a hell of alot of time, hopefully by next year.

Well they must be making good progress if they already made forums for majoras mask and wind waker.

I hope it's free to play, even if not, I think i could shell out a few bucks.

There's no way they could charge for it without getting sued up the ass by Nintendo. Well, I suppose they could do the old "Pencil for sale (with free copy of 2D-Zelda!)" eBay trick and get away with it. :P

that's what i was thinking, or have to pay to register to the site, and one of the perks is a "free game".

I wonder how he is going to do the Young Link/ Adult Link transition?

I wonder how he is going to do the Young Link/ Adult Link transition?

Adult link will have a longer nose.

I wonder how you'll be able to get Fire Arrows. You can't shoot into the sun in a 2D game.

Drev
Jan 26th, 2004, 03:48 PM
Well, how I see it can be done is where you shoot the sun, it'll shot light fromt he sun comming up, so you shoot directly at that, and there you go.

I agree, the SNES was the best 32-bit system ever.

I've seen this before. It sounds cool but I doubt the 3D puzzles and environments would translate well into 2D. It also sounds like one of those projects that people talk about for a long time but never finish.

CastroMotorOil
Feb 16th, 2004, 02:24 AM
chojin i as well was not overly impressed, i don't see how 2d is going to make a great game any better.

ArrowX
Feb 16th, 2004, 02:49 AM
Maybe for the 3D puzzles theyll just have those rooms where you had to thodge tose DAMN floor tiles or hit stiches oo simply paste them on the floor

i'm im a mood to start a petition to bring back 32-bit consoles...

Nintendo would rule all others theyd just shoot out a newcartrige system like NES2K or something
