View Full Version : SNOW DAY!
Mockery

Ok, well it's not a total snow day since I'm still working at home, but the fact that I didn't have to go into the office and can just work from here is definitely good.

Today sucks, everything here's frozen, and we're having a storm of freezing rain.

I had to shovel the snow, but it was easy. I got rock salt on my hands and it made them crack and bleed. :(

The plow camy down my street and piled a bunch of ice on the end of my driveway. I had to get a big axe with a sledge hammer back to it and bash a half-foot of solid ice apart. :(

Ohio's full of hard-asses when it comes to closings. This is the second one I had this school year :/

Weathermen are like horny guys. They tell you that you're going to get eight inches and you only get two. I start to lose faith in any of their predictions beyond 24 hours or so.

We've gottten about a foot here, and we may get a few more inches yet. It's nutty. Although it was very nice that the university closed, so all my classes were cancelled and I got to sleep in until 11:00. And now I only have to work about a 4-hour day because the roads are really shitty, so my boss is sending me home at 5:00.
Then I will go home and try to ignore my guitar and Xbox and do the 5 hours' worth of homework I've been shirking. :(

I just had to finish writing part b of my engish final and even the walk across the street to my school was freezing :(
There's also at least like 6 or 7 inches on most spots of the ground...then there's the giant hills :(

i think in cleveland, rather than shutting things down, the powers that be are all saying shit like "fuck em, if they haven't learned to drive in this weather by now, they deserve to be in a ditch."
i'm excited because today, the high is going to be above freezing. it's been 7 degrees for the past week.
my skin looks nice, though. :)

Which do you detest more: snow or cold? I don't mind the snow so much because a little weather @ 32 degrees or so can make the snow go away. When it's in the teens, though, it can snow just once in a week or so and the damn snow won't go away and the salt loses it's effectiveness to fight it. Hint: I'm not a winter sport enthusiast, so save all your snow-endorsing replies. The End.

I'll probably have to go back tomorrow; they done gone plowed all the snow off the main roads.

"Namonia?" Yeah, that's what you get for not getting him to use protection.

Winter is only good for getting out of school/work due to a winter emergency or something. Other than that it sucks. We have to run in this shit for track and the temp hasn't gone above 16 lately. >:

farenhiet is more accurate than celsius
Pee Wee Herman
Jan 29th, 2004, 11:46 AM
Farenhiet makes no fucking sense at all.
Celsius makes much more sense. For example, water freezes at 0 degrees. Water boils at 100 degrees. The human body is about 36 or 37 degrees.
Marilyn666
Jan 29th, 2004, 11:53 AM
The human body is about 99 degrees. I hate the metric system.

I am very much suprised that dildo-cide hasn't become an increasingly popular form of extermination of the weak. >:
