The Samus clone in Metroid Fusion was moderately tough. Fucking ice beam...most irritating weapon through the whole series and they make that the thing you're vulnerable to instead of something cool and ever-popular like the wave beam. >:

Ridley from the Metroid games. He's supposed to be really hard but he's usually not, and can be beaten even with crappy health. He's always fun to fight tho.

Just about every boss in that game was hard. The end boss wasn't, but Ridley, the rock guy and the super pirate were.

Meta Ridley was so annoying because if you go hit, you'd get pummeled right after. That is unless you got away damn fast and turned around to see it charging again.
