I-Mockery.com blocked by school computers.

I'm not too sure why they block the website and keep the boards unblocked. But does anybody else have a problem with yer workplace/school blocking i-mockery.com?

We have websense, which blocks category's. For example, when you make a site, and enter a category for it, (ex. entertainment) if a network blocks that category, all sites under it are blocked. I-mockery is blocked at my school, because of the category "tasteless". The forums still stay open because I'm guessing they have a category such as "forums" or something.

I think that's because it's a forum and not an actual 'website'. I know with a few other sites that are blocked the forums remain unblocked. :/

I-Mockery is blocked at my work, and so is my site... then again, all of Geocities is blocked, too... it's not censorship, though. Since I work at a software company, they've got a lot of really important stuff on the computers, and a virus could shut everything down for days, so they've cranked up the security on everything. :(

Oddly enough, these boards aren't blocked.

y'know, I used to be able to go to .com at school, but untill this year around november. I think it's one of the freshmen's fault. Because my school blocks websites as people get caught surfing on them. well, right now i'm in Animation screwing aruond on the boards instead of rendering my animation.

Yea, our school has the same crappy filtering system that blocks catagories. I can't get to .com, yet obvisouly, I am at the messege boards. I can't go anywhere with the word "game" or "violence" in it, but I can go to marijuana.com!

Just remove the www bit when youre typing it into the address bar. So instead of typing www.i-mockery.com, type i-mockery.com instead. For some reason it lets you get into the site with no probs.

Cuz at our school newgrounds.com has been banned but if you get rid of the www bit it works fine.

One shure-fire way go get arond all "censorware" is to set up a circumventor site on an unfiltered computer (your home or a friend's machine), then use that site to remotely get around the BLOCKAGE :party I am trying to set one up, but I never got the thing working yet.. >: Go to http://www.peacefire.org for more info.
