Boston is having a parade for the Patriots today. Here's what that meant to me. Standing up on the train all the way from Salem to Boston while surrounded by screaming highschool students shouting 'fuck' every fifth word.

No one gave them the damn day off. I think they should be in school. Since they are breaking the law they should have to make their mommies and daddies drive them to Boston and stay the hell off commuter rail.

Your also correct that the fucking parents ought to drive the fucking kids rather than them taking the fucking train and disrupting all the old fucktards and asshats.

Going back last night was way worse. North station is attatched to the fleet center and the 'lobby' area serves both commuter rail and events. It's so small that if one train is late it gets overcrowded. Last night it was like the friggin Haj pilgrimage in there. It took me fifteen minutes to get from the entrance to my train, and at one point this woman next to me was actually lifted off her feet and carried along by the crowd. If anyone had fallen, people qould have died. I shit you not. There were police there, but they couldn't get into the crowd.

The stuff in the morning, hell, I'm just cranky by nature, The stuff on my way home was seriously dangerous.

the way you described it, it sounded a lot like one of my concert experiences when the green day, a punk band from the 90's era, played at the esplanade for free which induced a riot in that part of the city. now you've gotten a little bit of a taste of what teen angst ridden mosh pit is all about.
