its true. I got mine modded, dropped a 160 gig drive in there.
The emulators on it are badass.
I now have mame, nes, snes, genisis, gba,n64, psx and commodore 64. they are all pretty damn good. There is nothing like playing a gameboy game on a 65" screen.

not only that but you can get media players to play computer files and such. which is pretty damn slick.

Also you can rip xbox games to the hard drive so u never have to change discs, its fantastic :D

I kinda hated to buy another system but it was so worth it considering what it can do and with the hdtv adapter the graphics are so much better than any of the other 2 systems.

So use this thread to now recommend some good xbox games for me to get!

Which one did you get?

I'm starting to really consider doing this...

I'm not a big fan of modding up systems :(

mainly because im not a big hardware junkie and i'm very likely to screw things up. Also It hurts me a whole lot to pay for all the upgrading things

The normal packaged x-box, with serious hammer damage, is better than any other system preformance-wise. However, people question its superiority by calling fault about the lack of long running series' by devote fans of these titles.
These people are called idiots.

Not if live can't detect your mod.

yea you cant play on live with a mod unless you have some kinda switch to change to your microsoft bios.

I flashed my microsoft bios so I pretty much gave up live, but i didnt have to buy a mod chip or anything, plus there is always xbconnect and xlink if i really wanna play online.

I didnt buy one I just flashed over the microsoft one. All you have to do for that is connect 2 connections on the motherboard, and use a special gamesave. its super easy.

I was gonna mod mine but it has like 29 solder points, all of which are tiny.

I would mod mine, except that I lack the time and patience to do so. Also, I am retarded.
