Well, my computer is crap, and I looking for some older games.
2 to 3 year old games to be exact. Things that could run on my PC with ease.
And I was wondering what are some good games from that era?
I have just bought Vampire the Masqurade, and Black and White.
And was looking for more of this older, 10 bucks, crap.

Alpha Centauri is a turn-based empire-building game. It deals with what happens after humans have left Earth (in the Civilization series) to colonize a planet near Alpha Centauri. It's not just Civilization with a new tile set; a lot of stuff has been added to make the game fresh. If you liked Civilization, then it's definately worth picking up.

Myst was easy. As far as noodle scratchers go, there are alot harder one's out there. But myst was far more fun.
I haven't beaten Riven or Exile yet.

Starlancer is a futuristic flight sim. You get to fly around in some kick ass ships with cool weapons and fight in huge epic battles in space. Its made by the same guys who did wing commander.
I would defentaly recomend it, but don't expect a cake walk kinda game. This game gets hard, very hard.

master of orion 2 should be on this list even though its maybe older than 2 or 3 years :( It's an outer space 4x game (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate? i think that's what 4x stands for :/ )
fallout and fallout 2 are RPGs set in a post-nuclear-apocalypse california (and parts of southern oregon in fallout 2). Both have you setting out to find a key bit of technology to save your vault/tribe, and both also set you against an army bent on taking over the world (after you finally retrieve the aforementioned item). Both are also packed with subquests, and how you complete them changes what happens to the different towns after the game is over.
plus you can supposedly get married and pimp out your wife in 2 :/

Deus Ex is a first person shooter that wants to be a stealth game and an RPG, and is very good at it. The plot is one of the best in any game ever, and you just feel badass playing it. Plus, it doesn't take much to run. If my computer can handle it, then I'm sure yours can.
Oh, and also give Alice a try. I know it kinda seems wierd, but trust me, there aren't many more twisted games out there. You are Alice in Wonderland with a fucking BUTCHER'S KNIFE!

Deus Ex for sure. Great game. Even has a good sequel.
You can probably get Counter-Strike to run on your computer with no trouble. And it's only like $25 dollars now and is still played by a ton of people.
Or just get Sam and Max Hit the Road.

homeworld, it's a 3-dimensional outer space RTS and it rules :(
I bet I'd still totlaly die if i tried to play people in it thoiugh >: but the campaign is pretty awesome :(
except for the SLOW parts where you have to like wait for a ship to go a long long ways >:
but then you can usually go get a snack or something b/c you know it's gonna be a while :(

Dear God Stabby, only the slowest and dumbest of all people don't have counter-strike. I been playing that for years, back when the APC use to MOVE in cs_siege. Half-Life Mod it was.
And Homeworld, yeah, I been thinking about buying it. I played the demo when it first came out, but I never bought it.
