View Full Version : girls like to be naked

Anonymous

After trying to shop for a swimsuit for a few weeks I have learned that girls apparently like to be as naked as possible. And the less cloth something has, the more expensive it is. And they actually charge you seperately for a top and a bottom even though it takes both to technically compose a "swimsuit". In addition to your swimsuit you must also purchase some sort of "coverup" because the swimsuit does not cover you up.

Speaking of swimsuits, i had to get a size 28 speedo (im about a 32) and its the smallest thing and most uncomfortable thing ever, next to a thong. Holy crap. Part of my nutsack sticks out, only 2 more days of diving.

Those suits are meant for a Barbie doll figure.

No, not in terms of proportion.

In terms of scale.

"You sure that wasn't meant for a hamster or something?"

Dillards sucks, who the fuck shops there anyway.
And I refuse to go to the nordstroms here.
I got a swimsuit at walmarts. It is acceptable. I am still pissed off though. This thread is supposed to be about the abusiveness of the fashion industry on women

Demand dictates that businesses affix a low supply to bathing suits and; therefore, allow them to charge a high price for the item. Fact is, women like to abuse themselves and they like to do it in an expensive way.

have you ever been to a department store during peak swimsuit time? there are LOADS of bathing suits to choose from.

the problem is they are all conducive to laying around and doing nothing in. if you want to swim, or jump into a pool, half of the suits that are there will fall off as soon as you take your first dive.

i have 2 swimsuits. a one piece and a two piece (that i barely wear). i like to SWIM, i don't like to sit in the water in fear that when i move my top is going to go flying off.

as for the industry, blame it on sports illustrated or the media. don't blame it on women. what are we supposed to buy to swim in? shorts?

yeah exactly. It's supposed to be a swimsuit not lingerie.

I basically do wear shorts to swim in. Shorts and a tank top. It's really hard to find those though. Only when they have mix and match seperates can you get that. I never find a one piece that I like because they always cut the leg holes up to your fucking belly button.

It balls up in that thing, holy crap. But im done with diving for awhile, so i dont have to worry about that kind of constriction. But, no I don't, that speedo just makes it implode.

Sewing stretchy fabric is tricky, you'd probably end up having to serge it (cost for serger: $600)

Oh, doopa, I forgot, you can usually get bathing suits for about $20 at www.landsend.com. They're pretty high quality and if something happens to it they'll exchange or refund it for a few years afterward. Look at their sale section, especially when they consider it "off season". Also, Old Navy has after-season sales during which I bought bathing suits for about $2 each.

I agree with the whole swim suit thing. The last time I bought a two-piece was a nightmare. Not only did I get odd looks from the cashier, but my nuts were CRUSHED.

another additional expense is the bikini wax. I have never had one before because I cant AFFORD one. I wasnt at the pool for more than 20 mins before I was asked to leave
