Fruity Loops is great for making drum loops. I'm starting to use Reason more though...
Can you actually make loops in Cakewalk now? I haven't used that program for years and when I did it was just a poor man's Cubase.

I'm still using my Cakewalk program :/ I seem to only be able to find loops randomly on the net by searching and trying. I tried the FLstudio but it was a demo that didn't work :( I use this program called leaf drums that is not bad http://www.leafdigital.com/Software/leafdrums/

fuck pre-made loops, just get individual sampled drum hits and make your own. occasionally i'll use sampled loops and cut up the hits in other software and create new loops out of them, or heavily process a loop as a fill or something, but i pretty much always start from scratch :notadj
