These guys are so funny! I wish I had gotten into them earlier. Earlier tonight, I saw Duck Soup, my fourth film. It was terrific!

I have to agree. Duck Soup is a comedic masterpiece, I love it.

I love Duck Soup so much, I love how they are still funny over 70 years later.
Have you seen a Night at the Opera or a Day at The Races? They are fucking great too.
Horse Feathers is good, but it has this WEIRD 20 minute scene (not really that long, but it felt like it!) where Harpo plays the harp, I guess to show why he's called Harpo. It's neat, but it's also quite surreal.

My dad took me to a double feature of Duck Soup and Coconuts at the Brattle Theater in Cambridge when I was a little kid.
It was a formative experience.
And before anyone asks, the 'popcorn trick' was not part of it.

I started to watch these when I was about six. It was hillarious. :( I need to get those on DVD. Haven't seen them in so many years. All I remember is Harpo making a football into a yo-yo, I can't remember what one that is from. But it sure was funny. :)

Every Kid should be given Duck Soup, some Buster Keaton, and some Charlie Chaplin. The world would be a better place if this happened. :(

To think that they were considered lowbrow in their day!
Little children would love the Marx Brothers and Buster Keaton.

Kids are too damn morbid today to understand that stuff. They would rather shoot prostitutes, and steal cars.

So, I didn't get the racist joke in Duck Soup. Something about armostrong and headstrongs married, making "darkies." What the hell does that mean? Does it have something to do with Louie Armstrong?
It was great movie, regardless.
