I was reading the paper today and I turned to the movie review section, The Passion of The Christ got 2 and a half stars, figured they must be real sticklers in movies where i look furthur only to see that Eurotrip got 3 and a half stars. Thank you chicago tribune for proving that perverts are bigger than Jesus.

Meanwhile, i was sitting there thinking what am i gonna do friday, without thinking I thought, ehhh, better not go out all night, I wanna get some sleep so I can wake up saturday to watch.... :(

I haven't even seen the movie yet. And "yet" roughly translates to "and I probably never will". Just not interested.

I can see why the movie might have garnered a bad score. The movie was two straight hours of Jesus being beaten to death and very little else. I do think it deserves better than two and a half stars, however. The production values were good, and the movie was well directed. I greatly enjoyed the movie and had much to think about afterwards. My biggest problem with the film was the fact that virtually all the previews were of family films. This means it was probably expected that Passions would be seen by children. This is probably the most graphic movie I have ever seen, and I have seen my fair share of ultra violent movies. I cannot imagine what would happen to a child that was exposed to the movies many graphic depictions of torture.
