They want to lower the voting age in CA to 14.
And then came up with the lovely idea that the 14 and 15 year olds will count as 1/4 vote and 16/17 year olds will count as 1/2 votes.

What the hell reason could a 14 year old possibly have for voting? >: I know 30 year olds who don't know the difference between democrat and republican.

They did that with slaves under the Articles of Confederation. Actually, the slaves didn't vote. The master just got voting credit for "X" amount of slaves. I don't know if this really pertains but I thought that I'd throw it in here.

Emu - so right. I was one of them. Just started figuring out where I stand....at 14 I had no f'n clue. Thought I did....but I hate to think of what I would have voted for at that age.

I remember in high school most kids just followed what their parents said and that meant largely republican voting and then everyone shifted to democrat in college. Nothing good can come of this...especially considering what they will write in as a candidate.

Nah, most of the people who are going to be having children now a days are already democrat, it will even out once all the old people die.
