Time between searches too long?

I utilize the "New Posts" feature a hell of a lot, and what often ends up happening is that I'll find a thread I like or looks interesting, click on it to see the newest post(s), and then click on New Posts again to find another thread. If this process happens to take less than 30 seconds, I get the message saying that searches need to be at least that far apart. Am I the only one who thinks 30 secs is a little too long? I understand the reasons for it, but could it be shortened just a little to be slightly less annoying? Cutting off just 5-10 secs would help a lot.

I don't how many people even use the New Posts or do it fast enough to get the message, so if I'm alone here I'll be glad to let the issue go.
