FS Keep in mind that these are on the condition that the movie would NOT suck:

Warcraft (1 and 2 could probably make a single movie), Legacy of Kain (Blood Omen could make the intro, Blood Omen 2 could be ignored, and Soul Reaver 1 and 2 could make up the rest), maybe the Myth series.

As for books, also provided it would not suck, Stephen King's Dark Tower saga. Though they'd have to break the trilogy standard and go for at least four, if not more movies, depending on how big the upcoming books are.

Spectre X Jin, Crimson Skies would indeed be a great movie, if done correctly.

Zomboid Wha? I was one of the two guys who got angry and I never said I didn't buy the comics...but I don't, so your point is still valid
Apr 15th, 2003 02:12 AM
Protoclown And now the truth comes out, the two guys who got angry when I called Spawn crap don't even buy the book! Well, I DID read the book for a long time so I know what I'm talking about when I call it crap.

My letter and the response are far too long for me to bother typing up here...but next time you find yourself in a comic book store just take a look at issue 99 in the back issues and check it out.

And Ninja, I only could stomach the first couple issues of Spawn: The Dark Ages. That book wasn't fit to wipe my ass with.

Krythor Proto: Think you could type up your letter along with MacFarlene's response by any chance?

I liked Spawn, but it never interested me to the point where I would buy it on a regular basis. It's highly over rated, I think.

jin Crimson skies

The best PC game ever!

I can be a SKY-PIRATE! w00t

Ninjavenom This intrigues me. As for spawn sucking, i'll be the story really does, but i still like the artwork, and that's usually what makes a book for me. I don't keep up enough for the story to ever form something coherent, anyway. Just don't tell me Spawn: The Dark Ages sucks.

Protoclown I will not retract my statement. Hey, you want a laugh? Pick up Spawn # 99, and you will find a letter by Jason Grunert in the letters page slamming Todd McFarlane and his crappy book. That's me. McFarlane completely sidestepped every single point I made and ignored them in his response, because he knew I was right.

That letter in #99 sums up my feelings on the book and why I don't bother reading that horrible piece of trash anymore.

I have the first 20 issues in trade paperbacks and everything from 21-100 in single issue format. I think I'm going to unload those on ebay soon.

Spawn fucking SUCKS. I stuck with it for FAR longer than I should have, wanting to give it a "chance" to get better. That's not going to happen. I got into Spawn when I was still reading a lot of shitty comics, I don't read crappy comics anymore.

Krythor How the fuck would Space Ghost: C2C become a movie?

Unless you mean just Space Ghost.
Apr 14th, 2003 08:59 PM
ShanghaiOrange Series: Space Ghost: C2C, Upright Citizens Brigade, Adventure of Pete and Pete

Book: A Canticle for Liebowitz, Sirens of Titan

Game: A good Final Fantasy movie, EarthBound: The Movie

Zomboid Protoclown, I must insit you retract your statement
Apr 14th, 2003 08:08 PM
Ninjavenom How dare you, Protoclown. How Dare you.

The Unseen Smash TV-
Also, i heard they are doing a metroid movie. If they fuck it up and put like a squad of bounty hunters i will kill something
Apr 14th, 2003 05:54 PM
Protoclown Spawn fucking sucks. It will suck if they do another Spawn movie at all, regardless of whether it focuses on Spawn or Sam and Twitch. It promises to suck simply on the merit of it being Spawn.

Right on!

"Ender's Game" would be cool, but since it revolves around kids, and for the most part child actors suck, it wouldn't be very good. Unless maybe it was animated...

Spectre X I'd like to see a movie based on Evil Dead: Hail to the King.

it's an Evil Dead game, and Bruce Campbell himself said that he and Sam Raimi that if they ever made a sequel, it'd propably be based on that game.

anyways, I'd also like to see a movie based on Nocturne, or Unreal.

n00bward A movie based on the "Wayfarer Redemption" series by Sara Douglass. Sara Douglass is one of the best Australian fantasy authors there is in my opinion and a properly done movie I think would really escalate her popularity overall, maybe even convinicing her to do additional series of books with similar structure.

Les Waste I wish someone would make a GOOD movie based on Catch-22
Apr 14th, 2003 12:27 AM
James MacFarlene got the rights back, so he's doing the sequel this time.

Fuck that. I doubt they'd do that since the first spawn movie blew ass and didn't really show him in all his glory.

James There are not plans for a MGS movie whatsoever.

If they did do one though, I think it'd be one of those movies where it'd only be good under the following circumstances:

-The story was entirely new, set sometime after MGS2 (and possibly after MGS3, seeing how that game would probably come out before anything would actually happen with a movie). It could then answer some questions from the first 3 games, and lead in to the fourth. Make it an intricate part of the storyline, instead of some hack rewrite of the orginal. Normally, I wouldn't even suggest this, but I feel it's the only way to do a Metal Gear movie.
-Hideo Kojima and the Metal Gear team develop the story, naturally. If it's going to play a part in the game stories, then it should be done by those who do the games.
-Have the script written by David Hayter (for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who is not a faggot).

El Blanco A live action GI Joe movie.

Based on the comic.

Ash37 Hayao Miyazaki should make a Legend of Zelda movie. That would so totally rock my face off. Miyazaki rules. I hope Spirited Away comes somewhere near me in south Mississippi.

A Castlevania movie would also be wonderful, as long as it's not cheesy and they're actually trying to make a good movie. And Michael Wincott would have to be in it in some capacity. Just because Michael Wincott should be in every movie.
