Mintrude Man, I have to pick just one? Probably Tool-Lateralus, though recently a lot of stuff's been threatening to take its place.

Jomb I could never pick just one album. Hell, I would have a serious struggle trying to come up with my favorite 50 albums. But this one would definately make the cut. Every single song on it is a a masterpiece, and I've never heard anything quite like it. Very original.

noob3 i guess you can agree to it being your favorite isis album, i can agree on that. but you are wrong to think that is a good album, because it isn't. it sucks. i could listen to celestial, red sea, & misquito control over & over. most if not all of the songs on those albums are actually listenable. oceanic is shit, just like everything they released after it

i know people who like oceanic but i can't stomach it, it's a pile. awful, awful cd. i would be more descriptive in telling you why it sucks, but after i listened to it 2 or 3 times, i put it back in it's case and never went back. i just remember it being really boring & aaron sounded like he was farting into the mic?

sloth what the hell man

WHAT THE HELL

yeah their new stuff is shit but oceanic is the best album isis made. it just fits together better, in my opinion. celestial is good but its more like a load of songs. just like the EPs. we are really going to have to agree to disagree on this one pal cos this really gets my marbles rolling

noob3 yeah oceanic is where they started to become really boring & awful. it's like the album that started the awful decline into whatever the fuck they are doing now (some shit they can open for tool with )

sloth angryhydralisk have you heard Responsible Tonsils its the Boris guitarist's sideproject with Tit Fidget and Lipzzz Magnifique ($45 from Squatting Ponce Records i couldnt believe it!). its pretty awesome id say its got a kind of Shitting Brass vibe going on with a bit of pre-90s Monkey Tantrum thrown in for good measure. if you like what he did with Trevor McDonald's Cock Allotment then definitely check it out man and let me know what you think!

Let me know because I'm gonna catch all the Melvins albums that i'd like to hear. Don't worry dude I SWEAR! THANKS.
I haven't even heard that split. I've heard the Barebones split and the melvins-influence is there. But by then they gave the drummer some horse tranquilizers and did their own thing. Speaking of the drummer, I'd recommend the new 10" / DVD that is ridiculously cheap for a Boris item (26 bucks) just for all the hilarious yells and grunts he does during all the songs.

He's coming to fuck your drum kit.

Magreaux Hey AngryHydralisk thanks for the "go-ahead" to download some Boris. I definitely do NOT own a yacht, haha! Anyway I don't want to ruin this thread any more than I already have but just for some clarification, which Melvins album were Boris ripping off when they did that split with Tomsk 7? Or when they did Feedbacker? Or Dronevil? Let me know because those are the Melvins albums that i'd like to hear. Don't worry dude i'm not being sarcastic at all, I SWEAR! THANKS.

earth are okay but they got boring quick it's always like to me they could have done what they were doing.. better. and sunn are cooler than earth because they wear creepy robes when they play live :o
Aug 26th, 2007 03:36 PM

Aug 26th, 2007 03:19 PM

I'll be a jerk and assume that none of you even know that my favourite album exists so I won't bother to post it here because I do not feel like educating anyone right now. Instead I will choose something at random from my CD collection.

This is a good album right? Does this make me cool? GUYS?
Basically, downloading Boris and Sunn O))) releases is acceptable...unless you have a yacht or car you really, REALLY don't need to feed your interests in Melvins-rip-off with random art influences (Boris) or Earth rip-off with random influences (Sunn O))))
