I'd appreciate some that take place in the south. With all the ghosts stories I grew up hearing, you'd figure a few decent movie would come out them.

Having lived in Maine my entire life, it does seem like New England has an underlying tendancy for creepiness. It's spawned authors like Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, and Edgar Allen Poe. Not to mention the Salem Witch Trials way back when.

HAUNTINGS IN NEW ENGLAND STATES
There are five-hundred bajillion movies out there about these things and I see equally as many coming out every year. Why are TRUE HAUNTING STORIES so compelling? I never got it. I mean, The Amityville Horror was alright, but every one I see now is just more and more of the same.
