Is Roves Job title change in any way meaningful?

The Press seems to think that Roves moving to just being in charge of politics from being in charge of politics and policy counts as part of the 'big staff shake' up going on.

Is it just me or is this meaningless.

1.) It's not as if Rove is going anywhere.

2.) Does he see any difference between managing politics and setting policy?

3.) Concidering the amazing amount the Republicans could potentially lose at the mid term, is it any wonder that Rove will be devoting most of his time to politics in the run up to the November elections?

Lets look at the shake up so far. A chief of staff who has never been in charge of anything (he didn't get W out of the classroom after telling him America was under attack.) gets shown the door. The guy who replaces him moves someone into the job he just vacated. Karl Rove trims his duties at a time he most certainly would have anyway. And the Press Secretary gets the boot. The Press Secretary? Holy Moly, the guy who's job it is to toe the line and not know what's actually going on? Sure Mclellans a booby, but he's a human microphone, he has no clout at all, and it's not as if he's caused any problems he wasn't supposed to cause.

So far this is an empty show. Big surprise.

Christ, they haven't even fired Chertoff yet!
