Ex Leper They should just dub over the word. They could use "mother" which is the most common replacement or something stupid like "hosehead".

Pentegarn What do a gay person and a chain smoker have in common?

They both like a pack of fags

In all seriousness though, I didn't even know the word 'faggot' was in that song till I read that.

Colonel Flagg Yes - the (studio) version I heard on the radio substituted the word "yoyo" for "faggot". So Dire Straits at least had some sensitivity training.

'Money For Nothing' banned from air in Canada

http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/...ended-country/

Due to the complaint of one person, radio stations will no longer broadcast the Dire Straits song Money For Nothing. The word 'faggot' appears in it, and I guess that's offensive to some people as it's on the CBC's blacklist of words not to air. Oddly enough, the word 'fag' is fine... does that mean 'nig' is ok too?

Not to mention my City council has been ordered to take sensitivity training because of a music video posted on facebook... This world needs to man the fuck up.

Not to mention this version removes the word:
