Also, I was wrong. It was Flower of Flesh and Blood that Charlie Sheen had reported. I'll go check that one out, too, but I doubt it's any worse at all anyway.

Also, a (crappy) death metal band named Necrophagia put out a set of gore-heavy music videos titled "Through the Eyes of the Dead." They mostly involved clips from old splatter films and for the most part, were pretty cheesy and lame. One called Bloodfreak, however, was done pretty well. They had the drummer acting in the video, and it had him shooting a young couple, taking the woman's corpse, skinning it, dancing with it, gutting it, and finally, masturbating onto it (and yes, that part of it was real) and burying the remains. They got rid of all copies on Youtube, but you can probably find it somewhere else.

Zbu Manowar If you want a good gore flick, I'd grab 'From Beyond.' Easiest one of the better Yuzna/Stuart Gordon Lovecraft flicks.

J. Tithonus Pednaud There is a great documentary available for free on Google and youtube called 'Snuff', it details the Guinea Pig series and the Sheen incident, gore and faux snuff films in general. Great little doc worth checking out.

Edit:

It's actually called 'Does Snuff Exist' and it's available free here:

Naught One of them, Devil's Experiment, is legendary because Charlie Sheen saw it back in the 80s, thought it was a genuine snuff film, and submitted it to the FBI. I saw that one. It didn't really deliver like I hoped it would. It just goes to show how desensitized to things we are today, I suppose, because I honestly can't see anybody believing it to be snuff in modern times.

Fathom Zero Haha, now I want to see them.

Jeff The Ninja I saw a few clips of a few of them.

Not really Horror Films, more like splatter porn, or todays Torture Porn. You know, Gorno. The worst i heard of those ones are that a bunch of Japanese Serial Killers used to jerk off to them and then based some of their killings off the films.

fucking sick.

Fathom Zero Never saw them. Looked too Japanese / expensive for me.

Naught Is anyone familiar with the Guinea Pig series of Japanese gore films? If so, was anyone as incredibly disappointed as I was with them?

Eyelobe Crispin Glover and Jeff Combs in the same film? That sounds intriguing. Combs is one of my favorite genre actors, and Glover is a true weirdo in the best sense of the word.

J. Tithonus Pednaud Ya, from what I recall, it was really pretty informative - not to mention FULL of fully naked ladies.

Seriously, "Splatter" sounds vaguely familiar. I know I watched something like it in the 80's.

J. Tithonus Pednaud Speaking of splatter films, has anyone watched Splatter? I was a gore film about how to reproduce FX like head explosions, intestines, etc. Is it as awesome as I remember or did my mind warp it over the years.

Jeff The Ninja Yeah, i also heard that Lewis used to go to drive in showings of his films just to watch the teens open their car doors to vomit.

J. Tithonus Pednaud Herschell Levis was the originator of the gore genre. Blood Beast came out in '63, just three years after Psycho. In Psycho the camera cuts to the blood seeping down the drain in the infamous shower scene - making the audience horrified. In Blood Beast, the camera zooms into a violent and graphic amputation - making the audience sick.

Lewis went on to make a bunch of other gore films. Perhaps most notably Wizard of Gore, which is currently getting the remake treatment starring Crispin Glover and Jeffery Combs.

Eyelobe Surprisingly I haven't seen this one either. Sounds like my cup o' tea!

Jeff The Ninja I dont think So. Its the one where the killer rips out some chicks tongue, with his bare hands.

From what i can gather, Blood Feast is the first (or at least one of the first) splatter films ever made.

EDIT: Heres the trailer, and its violent

JediScum I've never seen it, but a friend gave me a tape loaded with B-movie trailers (and Mr. Show episodes). Is that the movie where a girl is killed by spankings with a meat tenderizer?
