MAN I haven't played RotT since 6th grade or so! I completely forgot about this game. I hope the remake is just as fun. |

Holy shit, I remember this game. It was fantastic. A remake would be great, but I also am worried that the crazy humour would be lost. Oh, 2D FPS, how I loved thee. I used to play them any chance I could, spining around a faux 3d environment, making myself feel sick. Being disgusted by the gruesome violence, yet secretly reveling in it. |

Ride of the Triad reboot in the works http://www.gamespy.com/articles/101/1017949p1.html I'm excited. Back in the day, no other FPS had nearly the amount of crazy shit that RotT had. Powerups that turned you into a dog? Check. Gun that created a huge, rolling wall of fire? Check. Heating up porridge with a rocket blast? Check. Panoply of James Bond/Wile E. Coyote-esque traps and devices? Check. But god help them if they try to make it into a serious, realistic sort of game. |
