Preacher Nah, i understand what you're saying, but time-wise, it just wouldn't make any sense. Rogers was selected because he was an all-American white kid, but was scrawny and too weak to serve his country even though that was always his dream. they do all kinds of weird shit with the new comic runs now a day.s i mean, fuckin colossus is gay now. im not a homophobe, but why him? ruin a great comic run.

ZeldaQueen Oh. I just know that in the Young Avengers comic, Colonel America talks like his grandfather (Bradley) came first and then Steve Rogers.

J. Tithonus Pednaud You're thinking of Isaiah Bradley. He actually came after Rodgers in comic chronology.

ZeldaQueen Spiderman never seemed really like a tough comic series to me, mainly because Peter Parker was written to be an akward, geeky teenager. I also didn't think Batman Begins was boring (I did think the Dark Knight went a bit too long though). Just my thoughts.

Oh, and wasn't there a black Captain America before Steve Rogers?

Anyway, I've heard rumors for all kinds of Marvel movies. Apparently, they've made a list of candidates. The list (if Wikipedia serves correctly) includes Thor, Ant Man, Cloak and Dagger, Power Pack, and Runaways.

Ron Pearlman would actually be a good crossbones. You would actually be a good liberal politician.

comic movies

Has anyone else noticed that since Iron Man and The Dark Knight came out, all of the comic movies have actually gotten badass? i mean, i personally hate the spiderman movies with a passion. they don't follow the comics for shit, and the acting is atrocious. i also hated Batman Begins. it was one of the most boring-ass movies of my life (like anything DC related needs help being boring). but for cereal guys, with the Watchmen hitting the screens like a fat dyke soccer mom, we seem to be on a pretty good run here.

But just to spark a discussion, what does everyone think about the Captain America possibilities that are showing up on the web? personally, i just hope it doesn't end up being too much like a war movie. OH! and i hope to GOD that this whole rumor about marvel having a black actor play Cap is just to stir people up because im not racist, but how the HELL can a black guy be Steve Rogers when in that time, blacks were still being hung on trees like pinyatas? not to mention, lead a batallion of soldiers as a war hero? wtf.
oh, and what do you guys think of this cast?

Captain America- Aron Eckhart
The Red Skull- Viggo Mortensen
The Falcon-Djimon Hounsou? this ones up in the air
Crossbones- Brock Lesner
