NecroLemur Yes. Now go stand in the corner and think about what you haven't done.

Nick Is it wrong that I still haven't watched Grindhouse?

Captain Seamus I still haven't seen this or Death Proof, to my shame. RR is one of my favorite directors. I guess now is as good time as any, since it's Hallowe'en season.

Also, Hugo: Robert Rodriguez's next movie? Machete.

Hugo Robert Rodriguez soundtracks are ultra-awesome, they fit the movies so well he should get an oscar. And grindhouse was pretty cool, it's sad it kinda tanked. It's the kind of commercial failure that obligates him to shoot retarded kid movies about magic stones of rainbow or whatever to make a living.

Purple Man Loved both movies, love both soundtracks.

spidergremlin I also prefer Death Proof. It's got more cars & girls to perve on (like Stunutman Mike's sweet '69 Dodge Charger. It's like an evil General Lee).

neoboman "Because it was as if Robert Rodriguez had the spirit of John Carpenter running through his veins when he wrote it."

Couldn't put it better myself. That whole movie oozes 70s/80s greatness (and is way better than Death Proof, which my friends hated and I thought was good).

After reading the words Planet Terror soundtrack I immediately got what I'd call the Planet Terror Main Theme caught in my head.

danielsan4610 I thought Death Proof was the first Tarintino stinker until about the last 30 minutes. The whole beginning of the movie made sense then and really built to the climax. Awesome last half of the movie and ending.

Relaxing Dragon This is a pretty awesome soundtrack, and you are definitely right about RR channeling John Carpenter through this. I thought he actually pulled the guy in to do it himself at one point, making it all the more impressive.

Oh, and you can put me in the Death Proof > Planet Terror camp (but yeah, they're both excellent movies).

NecroLemur So... I finally have met the the OTHER person who enjoyed Death Proof more than Planet Terror (I love them both). In a previous century, we may have been both burned at the stake. Or at least thrown into pond to see if we float.

Hangie ugh, YES! Awesome movie and had some awesome music. I agree that death proof is better, it's more satisfying to see annoying girls get killed than Quentin Tarintino's melting zombie dick D:.
