CaptainBubba The label is there, so is Cade, the guy who does the keyboarding for the songs and writes most of them.

She resides here in beautiful Williamsburg, VA.

hawaiian mage whoah, your sister's band is good. the drums in "Halo in the Sky" really impressed me a lot, it really worked to bring the whole thing together. She doing that full time, like making enough money to quit her day job?

kahljorn Why do you think all the musicians and artists are all drugged up, throughout the ages...? Must be an unrelated coincidence.

LO.

CaptainBubba My sister has her own label and an album published and shes only 17: Unrequited.

Solos are my specialty so I was actually doing those great too last night. I'm way better at solos than chords. Noone understands when I'm like "WOAH, thats some hard chords right there" while I'm soloing it up.

Helm I haven't tried playing drunk, but I suspect it won't help me since I have no natural talent and have to pay very close attention to play difficult stuff right.

The Unseen Sometimes I play bass in a hardcore punk band so no one notices when I hit wrong notes because I snorted adorol and take dxm because no one can hear the bass.

Dole Alchohol definitely doesn't aid drumming.

MetalMilitia I think its safe to say i rock out much more when completly bollocksd but sometimes miss notes and shit.

sadie yah, but even when you're sober, do you play the "solos"? or do they simply flow through you?
Jul 31st, 2005 02:25 AM
Skulhedface Actually, you're half right. I find that having a buzz makes my rhythm a lot tighter and better, but it completely kills my solos.

I can concentrate enough to use chords but I just can't coordinate myself enough to pull off a solo while intoxicated. Amazingly, I can play the drums a lot better while liquored up.

sadie i've found it's mostly about a loss of inhibition. being intoxicated can enable you to flow better and be more creative, though it's most often accompanied by a lack of precision.

so is your sister drinking along with you? and what kind of rhythmic authority does she have anyway?

Guitarin while drunk

So just for curiousities sake I decided to get drunk off cheap box whine and try playing guitar in such a state. I am hitting every note just right and my sister says I seem to have a better sense of rythym. In addition I just came up with good additions to 2 of my own songs that I was stuck at while sober.

This jkind of sucks because I realize when I'm sober again I might not be as good, and I dont particularly enjoy being intoxicated.

Anyone else into music have any comments?
