TheThurbs Didn't know if you guys went to ibelieveinharveydent.com or not, but it is now down, but if you highlight the background, a cryptic message appears.
IGN did an article on it.

Protoclown Yeah, I like that you can actually see the green hair in that one. And he's actually got the smile going instead of odd lumps on the sides of his mouth.

The Joker!....on Quaaludes and NyQuil.

He looks pretty damned mellow for a hopped-up psycho. Like he's on horse tranquilizers or like he just listened to ICP.

kahljorn maybe he's bi-polar

Fathom Zero Yeah, well he don't look all smiles and psycho-happy to me.

That's more of a sad face. Anyway, you can take me with a grain of salt (not that you wouldn't anyway) because I thought Batman Begins was gayer than Hell. I didn't think the Scarecrow should have been such a cherubic pussy with a potato sack on his head.

Supafly345 He wore makeup in that lady rose petal movie or whatever it was called where he played a japanese person.

Girl Drink Drunk It's about the facial expression.

J. Tithonus Pednaud I like non-intrusive marketing like this sort of thing. I hate in your face marketing, but unique ideas that require an interested party to hunt are brilliant.

Supafly345 Yeah I was gonna post about that site, but this thread was already created. The site www.ibelieveinharvydent.com and www.ibelieveinharvydenttoo.com had some sort of segway to eachother. And there was a time a short time ago where you would submit your email, and they would mail you a code to put into the site, for every code you submitted one pixel would dissapear and reveal the picture of the joker underneath. Yesterday the entire picture was visible and would show it after sitting on the page for a while, but by the end of the day it didn't seem to be able to work.

J. Tithonus Pednaud There was actually a pretty interesting bit of marketing to that image. Apparently, the site www.ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com was set up as a campaign portal for the character of Harvey Dent. If you hung out on the site long enough, the site would be hacked and the picture of Dent would slowly morph to the Joker pic. If you go there now, the site appears to be down - until you highlight all the black space.

Protoclown ICP?

The Joker's a fucking clown, guys. You could make the same statement about the character in the comics.

After how much ass Batman Begins kicked, I'm gonna give Chris Nolan the benefit ot the doubt until I see it.

Supafly345 Wow fathom zero, you're pretty stupid. If this is ICP you could call any white face ICP. This is really keeping with the realistic batman thing they have going. The last film felt very human, very brutal, very real. And to adapt the joker into that real, brutal setting, this is very good. I don't think that a comic book looking joker would be improbable, but as far as chemical face deformities go, this feels like it is a nice fit for the world they made.

J. Tithonus Pednaud I like it, it sort of takes the character back to it's inspiration - Victor Hugo's The Man Who Laughs and Conrad Veidt's portrayal of the character in the silent film version.

In the novel, King James II murders a rival and hands over the rival's two-year old son to a group of 'Comprachicos' - persons who mutilate children for the purpose of creating freaks for monetary exhibition. The group cuts off the boys lips and slice his cheeks creating a giant and permanent grin.

Mad Melvin "hubba hubba hubba, money money money, who can you trust?"

Somehow, I doubt that line will be uttered in this movie.

Fathom Zero Now I know what he looks like.

Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal Black.

Heath Ledger as the Joker

Check out the latest picture of the Joker from the next Batman film. It's certainly in keeping with the darker tone of Batman Begins. Should be good.
