Schimid Set a hotkey to Winamp to open up the Play > URL thing. Whenever you find a link you wanna play, right-click it, copy link location, press the hotkey and then Ctrl + V

It works! :O

AChimp You can also download the file and play it manually with the program of your choice! :O

Mad Melvin Open media player preferences->file types and uncheck mp3 if checked. Then see if "restore file associations at winamp startup" is checked in winamp preferences.

.mp3 files open in WMP player in IE

Let's say a website has a link to an .mp3 file. Usually when I click it, it'd open up Winamp and play the file in that.

However, now it downloads the file, and the webpage opens into a Windows Media Player built into the browser. Hopefully that makes sense to you.

I can't figure out how to fix this. I pretty much have an idea what to do, but I can't find the answers. So could someone please tell me what I need to fix here?
