pac-man That scene is, of course, from the forgotten Stooge film "I-wacky Freedom"

pac-man That's the one.

Some of Buckwheat and Alfalfa's reaction shots are priceless.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oh, that's a great one. Where they almost get their head cut off with a Buzzsaw?

The Ol Susanna episode was awesome. Where they hang out with that old broad.

pac-man My favorite Our Gang was the one wear Alfalfa is playing detective and Buckwheat and Porky "work" for him and they get stuck in a haunted house.

Tadao I liked the little rascals truant officer episode. I think that's the only one I remember though.

10,000 Volt Ghost Gotcha, I thought you just meant animated.

I liked the Little Rascals a lot too. I think my favorite was when they tried sneaking into school overnight to get something for a field trip and they ended up scaring the night watchmen with a skeleton. The night watchman's face is priceless and is the first time I saw a nightcap shoot straight up from fright.

edit: I've also been trying to find a Shemp t-shirt but they only have Legalize Shemp. Which is kinda funny for a few minutes but doesn't do justic.

Tadao Yeah, that's why I said re-created.

No, I just watched a lot of reruns and marathons WTBS, AMC, and local TV growing up. Plus my old man had/has a mean collection of Stooges, L&H, and The Little Rascals on VHS and encouraged us to watch them.

10,000 Volt Ghost When they were in Scooby doo wasn't it just someone doing an impersonation though?
Nov 29th, 2008 07:14 PM
Tadao Laurel and Hardy were great, except when they were re-created in Scooby Doo.

10,000 Volt Ghost I didn't get into the Marx brothers when I was young. I just started watching them about 6 years ago.

As far as the 3 stooges movies that were made later they weren't as good as the shorts but I still liked them. I still have 3 Stooges meet hercules which is a classic.

How do you rename a thread?
Nov 29th, 2008 01:45 PM
Tadao Marx Brother were better than the 3 stooges, but no really. I think I was more into puns than pure slapstick when I was a kid.

10,000 Volt Ghost Yeah, I had to leave for work while watching the TV one. They need to release that on DVD.
Nov 28th, 2008 09:25 PM
pac-man The one I'm talking about was a TV movie, produced by Gibson. The Farrelly's are supposedly working on a feature film.

Hahaha, oh wow. I had to leave for work when I was watching it and only caught the early part of it. I didn't know Michael Chiklis played Curly. It looks like the Farrelly brothers are supposed to make it but it revolves around a new 3 stooges in modern day. I'll wait to see how it is.

10,000 Volt Ghost Agreed. I didn't like Joe at all. Curly Joe Derita was okay since everyone else was R.I.P. at the time. I loved the fact that even though Shemp didn't have any money in real life he always tried to look as spiffy as possible. I've seen him in some other non-stooge movies and he was really great in those too.

I saw an A&E movie about the 3 stooges that was good but I don't think they have it on DVD. As far as I know Mel Gibson produced it.
