10,000 Volt Ghost Drinking at a friends house one night, went to urinate in the woods. I remember seeing an Ufo land 30 feet in front of me, door open and something get out. I just ran back to the house at mach speed with half my big mac still out. Looking back it was probably just the booze but still. Creeped me out for the rest of the night.

I'm not saying thing is defiantly what you saw, it could've been some kind of weather balloon with an attached light source, it could've been a plane flying towards or away from you creating the illusion that it was bobbing up and down in a stationary position when in fact it was moving along a Z axis to your vision and bobbing as a result of the changes in air pressure. Light planes would be particulalry suseptable to this.
Well, I'm actually somewhat reassured now. Thank you.

A pretty balloons. Not butt-probing aliens or a hallucination. Just a nice, harmless, pretty balloon.

"...and I think that's the whole problem with aliens; you just can't trust them. You may get some nice ones occasionally like Starman or E.T., but most of them turn out to be some kind of lizard. Anyway we're just about out of time. Next week on World of the Psychic, hairless pets."

Yeah, but it was bobbing up and down constantly, which the wind wouldn't cause it to do. And why a balloon be visible when it was dark out?

MetalMilitia A balloon may rise and fall depending on air pressure and wind - which is what I understand the word "bob" to mean. You should also appreciate that without a reference point in the sky it becomes impossible to identify the size and scale of movement of an object.

Does ball lighting appear on clear nights? And last for several minutes?

Metalmilitia, balloons don't bob along as far as I know.

MetalMilitia The second could have been a red version of one of these balloons:

UFOs

On two occasions I have seen UFOs. Yes, they were UFOs, in the sense that they were Unidentified Flying Objects. Simply I don't know what the hell they were, and I want some reassurance that I'm not crazy.

1. During a meteor shower, I saw a what I assumed was meteor come down...and then its trajectory curved in C shape arc. Why did it do that? Is there something in the laws that I'm not aware of that makes a meteor curve?

2. I was walking my dog one evening when I saw a reddish light in the sky, bobbing along. I knew it couldn't have been a firefly as it was the wrong time of year and it was too high, it couldn't have been an aircraft, as airplanes don't bob along, and I'm positive it wasn't a laser. What the hell was it? It freaked me out considerably.

Can anyone offer a scientific explaination for either phenomena?
