Phoenix Gamma I don't know what's worse, the fact that we might not get to see the movie, or the fact that it was already filmed.

These are the kinds of things you settle out of court, people.

Nick Nite Owl and Silk Spectre were giant wimps.

Dr. Boogie I finally read Watchmen the other day, and I have to agree with what Scru was saying about the ending.

Spoilers!

HickMan But they NEVER do that
Aug 6th, 2008 02:29 AM
ScruU2wice do they need to storyboard a movie from a comic book? I mean it would work out if the actors literally did exactly what was pictured in each frame of the book

am I right?

HickMan I saw the preview at the Dark Knight and admittedly, I've never even heard of Watchmen. But it sparked my interest and I looked it up on wikipedia to see if it'd be worth buying. Here I am now, bought the book, and just completed it. I thought it was great overall. Best graphic novel I've ever read, but I haven't read to many . I just have my doubts about the movie now. A lot of the events, especially with Dr. Manhattan will be really tough to produce on film.

executioneer i dont remember ozymandias ever wearing a mask of any kind, wtf

edit: oh ok i guess pre-keene act he did but that doesn't justify all these pictures

Nick Shitty covers from shitty bands.
Aug 1st, 2008 12:48 AM
Tadao I don't mind MCR nor do I mind covers. What I do mind is sucky covers and I know this will be one.
Aug 1st, 2008 12:28 AM
Nick Movie makers need to just use the original songs instead of getting this shitty pop punk bands to make a new version so they can seem "edgy".
Aug 1st, 2008 12:24 AM
Tadao "Snyder told MTV this week. Rather than compose an original track, they're planning to cover a Bob Dylan classic. "A cover of 'Desolation Row,' or something like that.""

It better not be something like Desolation Row. It better be a song that has already been abused by countless others.

ScruU2wice I think the amount of camel toe in some of those pictures warrants a NSFW

Guitar Woman The more I see of this movie the more I am convinced it'll be a gigantic pile of poopy.

Nick Rorschach killed two men with a toilet.

On another note, think how weird the story would have been if DC had let Moore use the Charlton Comics characters for the story, as he originally intended.
Jul 27th, 2008 07:09 PM
Zomboid Dreiberg was the most likable, I thought. He was probably closest to an "average guy" but he was still pretty interesting and not totally useless. Rorschach and Comedian were the most interesting, but I guess that goes without saying

Rorschach gets extra points for effectively using a lit cigarette as a weapon.

Rez actually he was my second favorite.

I AM DISAPPOINTED VEIDT

VERY DISAPPOINTED

as far as least favorite - wth did laurie do except resent her mom, get naked a few times, and get kicked in the solar plexus? get flustered enough at jon until he decided to come back? super. and veidt. by far the biggest asshole.
and come to think of it, dreiberg was just a pudgly, lonely dork with a basement full of toys.

they all kinda suck. which is why it's kinda fun.

Nick He was my least favorite character in the whole novel. I felt absolutely no sympathy for him at all.
