tenno I'd rather watch Namor and Aqua man fight over who gets the water wings this week than a movie about two super heroes who blow fighting a super villain who sucks.

Shit. Give us Kitty Pryde nude.

Well to be honest, you want a superhero movie that had 'edge' and is 'extreme'?

Deathshead needs his own flick.

Grazzt That is the two-parter, Zomboid.
May 8th, 2003 03:35 AM
Zomboid Yeah, the original 2 parter on justice league was kinda cool but the episode where he has to cut off his hand to save his kid was good too.

Unless that's the one you mean...

Grazzt You know, a lot of people who make fun of Aquaman don't realize that the problem with him is solved if he stays in the water all the time, like with Peter David's Aquaman series. Plus the guy has superstrength.

Maybe a movie about a war in Atlantis or something has merit? If the movie treats Aquaman like the Justice League Animated Series did, then it could be at least watchable.

CastroMotorOil how the hell can you make a good movie from fucking aquaman? he is one of the most boring superheroes ever! A movie about a guy who only has powers in the water, gee that is gonna be great.
May 8th, 2003 12:38 AM
Grazzt Most likely.
May 7th, 2003 06:56 AM
pjalne It will most likely be based on modern Aqua Man. Still, I smell a Batman & Robin is coming this way to kill off all pre-production comic adaptions for years to come.
May 6th, 2003 04:49 PM
Grazzt If it's based on gay 60's Aquaman, it will bomb. But if it is based on modern Aquaman, it might be good!
May 6th, 2003 12:43 PM
Protoclown Who the hell wants to see an Aquaman OR Namor movie? Why on earth do the comic companies think these will be popular??

I'm really enjoying the recent wave of comic book movies, and I do NOT want to see it ruined by a couple of films that are destined to be bombs thrown into the mix. A couple bombs based on characters like Aquaman, or Speedball, or Bat-mite, and next thing you know, they decide it's not worth it to make comic movies anymore.

THIS is where it's at, though:

Grazzt Secret Wars was Jim Shooter's failed attempt at writing. Jim Shooter is yet another comic book vandal who needs to be imprisoned.

The_Rorschach I spent an entire year here saying "REBUTTLE" before CLA corrected my spelling there. I often use a liberal imagination to spell words that I can't remember
May 4th, 2003 12:42 AM
Protoclown Rorshach. I know what a story arc is. I was just making fun of your spelling.
May 3rd, 2003 01:26 PM
The_Rorschach I don't know. . .A story arch, as we used to call them, were storylines that required you to buy other titles that just the main one to figure out what was going on. Like the first Secret Wars run with the Beyonder in the seventies, or X-Tinction Agenda, or any of that.

Storylines were just independant plots that didn't require extra reading to understand. Like Days of Future Past

Protoclown I'm pretty sure they're doing an Iron Fist movie.
May 2nd, 2003 03:48 AM
Zbu Manowar Power Man and Iron Fist. Now that would fucking rock.

Protoclown A story arch, Rorschach? Is that anything like a fable buttress?

Fuck Blade. He sucks. His movies suck more.
May 1st, 2003 11:49 AM
Grazzt Yeah, of course I know that. I think that movies made based on lesser known characters are less subject to insane amounts of "public viewing control". Which is why I think a Shang-Chi movie would be so great. How could you screw that up?

Unless you made it as a nu-metal filled teenage angst cock up, of course. But honestly, I don't know how you can make the story of a British MI6 agent who's father is a would-be conquerer into that.
May 1st, 2003 04:22 AM
The_Rorschach Don't forget he was in Johnny Mnuemonic (sp?).

But personally, I would rather see Al Pacino as the Punisher. The man was supposed to be Italian, and he didn't get buff until the early nineties.

On a side note. EVERYONE knew about Blade who read comics in the eighties. Midnights Sons was a huge story arch, and Blade teamed up with Doc Strange, Blaze and the Ghost Rider for like 13 issues. He wasn't as little known as he is now
May 1st, 2003 04:11 AM
James Can he act though? I mean, sure, I LOVED his work in The Chase and The New Guy (/sarcasm), but could he really handle such a role?
May 1st, 2003 04:01 AM
Carnivore

Rollins was made for this role like Tobey Maguire was made for Spider-Man.
Apr 30th, 2003 11:06 PM
McClain Yeah, I've always thought Rollins would make a perfect Punisher, too. He's psychotic looking and ripped. That dude is intense.
Apr 30th, 2003 10:38 PM
Grazzt How about Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu? I'd love to see that as a 70's style dubbed movie with Marvel characters.
Apr 30th, 2003 10:35 PM
Ninjavenom Fuck ALL these movies, i want 2 hours of IRON FIST!
