executioneer fun thing to do: put two entirely unrelated bands on the same station!

Grislygus I usually have to thumbs-down my stations a lot before stuff I like starts showing up, my Deep Purple station being an exception.

liquidstatik Uh, I can't find any good music on this.

sadie the cool thing is that you can give a thumbs down to a song and it adjusts your station or whatever.

I've been getting e-mails saying that it's been getting updated. I discovered the site a couple months into its birth so of course there was problems. I just wanted to state. It did get me some cool bands for 311, though. Even though I knew all of them...and Lifehouse...(ugh)

That's because computer programs don't have ears. Some bands and genres get better results than others.

Metal and rock stations generally work well, but you have to work to keep them clean.

DehydratedPorkMan Oh man, I used to use this site to find more bands that sounded like the indie shit I listen to and I forgot it existed. Thanks for reminding me of it.

There are some problems though. I typed in Broken Social Scene and it took me to Beck, then to Michael Jackson. I'm not making this up.

Grislygus Yeah, this is pretty much the only reason I stay sane at the paper.

sadie i just started using this a couple of months ago, mostly at work. i like being able to put in a lot of way different bands/artists/songs/genres and playing the "quick mix." it's pretty cool, and i've heard a lot of musicians i never had before.
